About me and my therapy practice

Life can be challenging. Many of us tend to carry difficult feelings quietly - often struggling with a sense of being 'too much' or somehow 'not enough'. We push these feelings aside until they become too heavy to hold alone. Sometimes, having the space to talk things through and process it all can make a huge difference.

Therapy offers a confidential, caring environment where you can speak openly and be listened to without judgement.

Alongside a 12-year background in the charity sector, I am a qualified integrative counsellor. This means my approach blends person-centred and psychodynamic therapy. Some sessions may focus on your emotional well-being, your current relationships or day-to-day life circumstances, while others may involve gently exploring earlier experiences and how they shape your present sense of self.

I see counselling as a collaborative, relational process. Rather than handing out advice or solutions, my goal is to offer a space where you can feel truly seen and heard, somewhere you can simply turn up as your true self.

Practice description

I offer weekly 50-minute sessions at the same time each week. I know that reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, so my aim is to provide a calm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and be yourself.

People come to therapy for many reasons. You might be feeling low, anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply unsure of why things feel so hard right now. Whatever brings you here, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with greater understanding and self-compassion.

I help clients navigate current life stress and uncertainty, alongside those working through the lasting impact of earlier experiences.

Every person is unique, so my way of working adapts entirely to you.

I work collaboratively and at your pace, walking alongside you rather than offering direction. Therapy isn't about fixing who you are - it is about creating space for you to feel heard, understood, and gently reconnected to yourself.

Drawing on my experience providing counselling with adults within a low-cost agency, I am here to offer a grounded, steady presence. As we work together, we will regularly reflect, and I also offer a review after our first six sessions to ensure we are on the right track.

My first session

To help you get started, I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation. It’s a relaxed space to share a little about what is bringing you to therapy, ask questions, and see if we might be a good fit.

After our initial chat, if you decide I'm the right therapist for you, you can book an appointment in your own time.

During our first session, we'll run through a short contract together, and complete an initial assessment to explore any difficulties you may be experiencing, and what you hope to gain from counselling.

My fee is £60 for each 50-minute session.
