About me and my therapy practice
As a qualified integrative counsellor, I offer an approach that blends person-centred and psychodynamic approaches with a perspective grounded in 12 years of work in the charity sector.
Life often demands that we keep going, even when it feels too hard. Many of us carry difficult feelings quietly, struggling with a sense of being "too much" or "not enough". Sometimes, taking a moment to pause, see how we feel, and talk things through can make a huge difference.
Therapy gives you a confidential, non-judgement space to speak openly. Instead of giving advice, I work with you collaboratively to explore your experiences, help you feel truly heard and build self-acceptance.
Some sessions may focus on your emotional well-being, your current relationships or day-to-day life circumstances, while others may involve gently exploring earlier experiences and how they shape your present sense of self.
Practice description
I offer weekly 50-minute sessions (online or in person) at a regular time each week.
People come to therapy for many reasons. You might be feeling low, anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or maybe you're not even sure why things feel so hard right now. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet - whatever brings you here, this is a dedicated time to focus entirely on you, exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with greater understanding and self-compassion.
We will work at your pace to explore current stress, past experiences, and the patterns that keep you feeling stuck. Rather than telling you what to do or trying to "fix" you, I adapt my approach to what you need, helping you make sense of your experience and rebuild trust in yourself.
Creative Therapy (Optional)
If traditional talking therapy ever feels limited, I also offer creative tools. Expressing yourself through visual or creative arts can often help process deeper emotions that are hard to put into words. This is always optional - we only use it if it feels right for you.
How We Work Together
Drawing on my experience providing counselling with adults in a low-cost agency, I'm here to offer a grounded, steady presence. As we work together, we will regularly reflect, and I also offer a review after our first six sessions to ensure we are on the right track.
My training and qualifications
I am a BACP-registered, fully insured counsellor with a CPCAB Level 4 qualification and specialised training in online and telephone therapy.
My first session
To help you get started, I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation. It’s a relaxed space to share a little about what is bringing you to therapy, ask questions, and see if we might be a good fit.
After our initial chat, if you decide I'm the right therapist for you, you can book an appointment in your own time.
During our first session, we'll run through a short contract together, and complete an initial assessment to explore any difficulties you may be experiencing, and what you hope to gain from counselling.
My fee is £60 for each 50-minute session.
