About me and my therapy practice
You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, trauma or the demands of work and parenting. Perhaps you feel overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself or weighed down by low self-esteem. You may also be exploring neurodiversity and trying to better understand yourself and your experiences or something else.
I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space to explore what you’re going through. Together, we can make sense of your experiences, build self esteem and confidence, develop helpful coping strategies and work towards feeling more balanced, connected and empowered. There is no pressure to have it all figured out, come as you are.
Practice description
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including person centred, psychodynamic and creative approaches, alongside somatic techniques. I believe that no two people are the same and therefore there is no single approach to therapy that will work for everyone.
I see you as a unique individual, shaped by your own experiences, relationships, emotions and circumstances. Our work together will be tailored to you and what you need, rather than expecting you to fit into a particular therapeutic model.
I aim to offer a space that is warm, accepting, empathetic and non judgemental, where you can feel safe to explore all parts of yourself. This includes the thoughts, feelings, behaviours and experiences that may sometimes feel difficult to understand or accept.
Depending on what feels helpful for you, we may explore your past experiences and relationships, develop a deeper understanding of your thoughts and emotions, or use creative and body focused techniques to help you connect with and process your experiences in different ways.
My role is to walk alongside you, offering curiosity, compassion and support as you make sense of your experiences and discover what feels right for you. We can work together at a pace that feels manageable, creating space for greater self understanding, acceptance and growth.
My first session
The initial 15 minute call is a gentle first step and an opportunity for us to connect, get to know each other a little, and see whether counselling feels right for you. Most importantly, it gives you the opportunity to get a sense of what it feels like to talk with me.
Finding the right fit matters and different therapists will suit different people.
If we both feel that working together would be helpful, we can arrange your ongoing sessions.
