About me and my therapy practice
When we experience anxiety or distress and sense there are deep, underlying causes, doing something about it can feel daunting and bewildering. I will provide you with a warm, supportive, therapeutic space so that you can take on this challenge. A qualified, psychotherapeutic counsellor, I have worked with adults and young people in agency, higher education, and charity environments in relation to a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, anger, and bereavement. My experience has shown that therapy can facilitate real and meaningful change in how clients see themselves and in their relationships with others.
I practise psychodynamic therapy because I believe that it can lead to beneficial changes in life. In thinking about potential sources of anxiety and distress from the past, it is possible to enact change in the present by working to build new and deeper understanding of ourselves.
I welcome clients from all backgrounds and look forward to hearing from you.
Practice description
I am a registered, qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor offering psychodynamic therapy from my private practice in Brighton and Hove. I work with adults both in open-ended therapy and in short-term, time-limited therapy.
I work to the BACP’s Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. Confidentiality and ethical practice are important to me. I welcome clients regardless of background and regardless of what they want to bring to therapy.
I also know that therapy can be a daunting prospect. I’ve been there myself. As a professional, qualified counsellor, I can provide a warm, non-judgemental, confidential space for us to explore what is troubling you.
My first session
As a first step, we can meet for a 30 minute online consultation, which will be free of charge. During the video call, we'll discuss what is making you consider therapy. You'll then be able to decide whether you think I am a good fit for you and want to make a booking for therapy sessions
