About me and my therapy practice

You may be seeking therapy because the familiar ways of coping have stopped working.

The ways you have coped until now, keeping busy, holding it in, pushing through, may have fallen apart. If that is where you are, I want you to know it makes sense that you are looking for help: looking is itself a hopeful act. I also know how it feels as a client. I remember the shame of feeling I couldn't do it on my own any more. That experience is part of why I do this work, and it shapes how I meet the people who come to me.

My way of working is relational, and I pay attention to what your pain might be pointing towards, not just how to get rid of it. As a Psychosynthesis counsellor, I take a humanistic and integrative approach that works with all of you: mind, body, feelings and the search for meaning. I meet you as you are in a co-created space, safe enough to go where you need to.

I have experience with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, identity, addiction, abuse, and the life transitions that impact us. I offer an optional free 15-minute call so we can get a sense of each other, with no pressure either way. Whatever brings you here, you do not need the right words for what is wrong to get in touch.

Practice description

I offer a steady, grounded space where you set the pace. I am fully present and attentive in every session, and genuinely in your corner. My job is to meet you where you are and help you meet yourself, in a space safe enough to go where you need to. Some weeks we might work with what happened days ago, some with what began decades ago, others with what is happening right now.

I trained in Psychosynthesis, a humanistic and integrative approach that considers the entirety of your experience. In practice, this means we don’t treat your pain only as a problem to be solved. We also listen to it, because it is often a sign of something wanting to be heard, and of a more authentic self trying to emerge.

Change shows up as small observable shifts that add up over time. Good therapy shines a light on what is working and what isn’t, and allows you to become more adept at meeting your pain without removing or avoiding it. It is the process of becoming more alive. Becoming freer to be your authentic self.

My first session

Sessions are 50 minutes, weekly, in person in London or online (in English only).

I offer an optional free 15-minute phone call before we begin, so you can get a sense of me and I can understand what you are looking for. It is not a therapy session and there is no commitment attached.

If we go forward with an initial assessment session, it will last 50 minutes and cost £65. This session gives us a chance to explore what brings you to therapy, as well as gather important information about your current situation and past history. You'll also get a chance to see how I work and ask any questions you may have.

After this, we can decide together if we want to continue working together for regular weekly sessions.
