About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified BACP registered counsellor offering humanistic, person-centred.
I offer a confidential, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and able to explore what is happening for you. Therapy isn’t about fixing you because you are not broken. Instead, it is about having collaborative conversations that can help you gain understanding, reflect on your experiences and move towards meaningful growth.
Our sessions are guided by your pace, your needs and your story. Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, curious about yourself, or simply in need of a space to talk, I am here to support you. I integrate a variety of therapeutic theories and techniques, depending on your individual needs and what feels helpful for you.
I work with adults at different stages of life and from a variety of backgrounds. This includes older adults, people accessing counselling through Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP), and counselling clients within organisations. I also welcome counselling trainees who may be looking for a supportive space alongside their training.
I offer counselling via online video sessions or telephone, allowing you to choose the format you feel most comfortable with. I work with adults aged 18 and over.
My qualifications:
Level 2 Counselling Certificate (CPCAB)
Level 3 Counselling Certificate (CPCAB)
Foundation Degree (FdA) Counselling – University of Wales Trinity Saint David / Coleg Sir Gar
Trauma-informed counselling with The Open University
Extensive safeguarding training and ongoing CPD as part of my commitment to professional development
Practice description
Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step. Perhaps you have been trying to manage things on your own, feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply unsure of what you need. Whatever has brought you here, you don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.
I offer a warm, calm and non-judgemental space where you can come as you are, talk openly and feel genuinely heard. Together, we can slow down, explore what is happening for you and make sense of your thoughts, feelings, experiences and relationships.
I believe you are not broken and do not need to be fixed. My role is to listen, support and work alongside you at your pace, helping you develop greater self-awareness, self-acceptance and understanding.
Sometimes counselling is not about finding all the answers, but having the space to ask the right questions and begin to see yourself and your experiences differently.
My first session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to meet, get to know each other and begin to explore what has brought you to counselling. There is no expectation that you need to have everything worked out or know exactly what you want to talk about.
We will take some time to discuss how counselling works, including confidentiality, boundaries and practical arrangements. We can also explore what you would like from counselling and any hopes, concerns or goals you may have.
Most importantly, the first session gives you the opportunity to see how it feels to work with me. I believe the therapeutic relationship is an important part of counselling, so it is important that you feel comfortable, listened to and respected, and that you feel able to be yourself.
