About me and my therapy practice

I am a registered BACP accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist (PGDip) offering online, face to face and telephone therapy to teenagers and adults of all backgrounds. My practice is rooted in an integrative approach that brings together talk therapy, CBT,  mindfulness and meditation to support clients in ways that feel attuned, accessible and meaningful.

I work with a therapeutic presence that is compassionate, patient, caring and supportive. I provide an empathic, attuned, calm, grounded, nurturing, warm, affirming and safe space. These qualities shape the relational safety I aim to create, allowing clients to explore their experiences at a pace that feels steady and respectful.

I support people navigating a wide range of human concerns, including depression, anxiety, bereavement, family difficulties, relational disruptions in friendships and workplaces, health concerns and the emotional impact of oppressive experiences such as racism and humanist oppression. My practice is firmly committed to anti oppressive and culturally attuned ways of working, recognising the systemic contexts that shape each person’s story.

My practice is open to all clients, and I welcome anyone seeking a therapeutic space that is warm, grounded and genuinely supportive.

Practice description

A calm, relational space is offered where difficult feelings and experiences can be explored at a pace that feels right for you. The work is grounded in person‑centred values, drawing on CBT, MBT, and somatic approaches to support you in ways that feel attuned and meaningful.

Sessions are collaborative and reflective. Together we pay attention to thoughts, emotions, and bodily cues to deepen understanding of what’s happening for you. There is an active awareness of identity, culture, and power, with a commitment to creating a space where all parts of your experience can be seen without judgement.

The work involves gently identifying patterns, developing supportive tools, and moving towards change, resilience, and deeper self‑understanding. People often come with experiences of stress, depression, grief, trauma, domestic violence, relationship challenges, identity questions, and life transitions.

My first session

Before beginning therapy, there is an initial assessment where you can share what has been happening for you and what you might want from the work. A short review usually follows, giving space to reflect on how you’ve been feeling over the past week and whether anything has shifted. This early stage helps shape the direction of our work and ensures the pace feels right for you.

In your first therapy session, we take time to go through your contract and the practicalities of how we’ll work together. There’s room for any questions, concerns, or general queries you may have. The session is gentle and steady, an opportunity to settle in, get a sense of the space, and begin exploring what feels important for you. Nothing is rushed, and you’re welcome to bring as much or as little as feels comfortable.
