About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Fabbiha, a BACP-registered psychotherapist, and a Counselling Psychologist in training, currently completing the final year of my doctoral training.
I have over 7 years’ experience working across NHS, specialist, third-sector and community mental health settings. My clinical experience spans NHS Talking Therapies, Cancer Psychology, community mental health, acute and forensic services, and specialist therapeutic settings, giving me experience supporting adults and young people with a wide range of psychological difficulties and life circumstances.
My clinical experience includes working with adults and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-confidence, relationship difficulties, identity, cultural and systemic issues, grief and bereavement, life transitions, trauma, shame, burnout, cancer and long-term health conditions.
I enjoy working with people who are trying to understand themselves more deeply - including the patterns they find themselves repeating, the expectations they carry, and the ways their experiences have shaped how they relate to themselves and others.
I’m warm, compassionate and culturally sensitive. I aim to create a space where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing without judgement, while also empowering you and helping you move towards a life that feels more meaningful and fulfilling to you.
My qualifications include:
Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology - expected completion 2027
MSc Clinical Neuropsychiatry
Counselling Certificate
BSc Psychology
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS).
Practice description
My approach
I work integratively, which means that I draw on different evidence-based approaches (CBT, psychodynamic, and person-centred/humanistic approaches), tailoring them to your needs and goals. Above all, I prioritise the relationship between us. Therapy should feel collaborative - a space where you feel heard, understood and safe enough to explore parts of yourself that may be difficult to put into words.
Cultural sensitivity
For some people, seeking therapy can feel unfamiliar, particularly when mental health is rarely discussed within their families or communities.
You shouldn’t have to explain or justify the cultural context of your experiences in therapy. I aim to offer a space where all parts of your identity can be explored with curiosity, compassion and without judgement.
I believe therapy isn’t only for when things have gone wrong. Sometimes, it’s about understanding yourself better, making sense of where you are in life and deciding what you want the next chapter to look like. You already bring your own strengths, experiences and knowledge of yourself into the room. My role is to help you make sense of them and work out where you want to go from here.
Who I work with?
I offer online therapy, working primarily with women, young adults, and professionals experiencing anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, low self-confidence, relationship difficulties, identify concerns, career stress or significant life transitions. I also work with women, who are navigating career and professional identity, culture, or family issues.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute consultation before we begin, giving us a chance to meet, talk about what you’re looking for and see whether I feel like the right fit for you.
All sessions are online, 50 minutes long, and centred around you - providing a confidential space to explore whatever you’re experiencing at your own pace.
In the first few session, together, we might explore your past experiences, current relationships and patterns, emotions, beliefs, or practical ways of coping with day-to-day challenges. The aim isn’t simply to help you “fix” what feels wrong. It’s to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and find more sustainable ways of relating to yourself and others.
