About me and my therapy practice

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re used to coping on your own or supporting others. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly and at your own pace, without judgement.

I am a Counsellor offering online, Walk and Talk Therapy and Outdoor Therapy for stress, anxiety, burnout, loss and bereavement.

With over 14 years experience in helping roles across the NHS and within the Voluntary and Community sector. This background has given me a strong understanding of how stress, responsibility, and caring for others can impact on wellbeing. I have experience of working with neurodivergence and loss and bereavement.

Online Counselling

I offer online Person-Centred counselling to fit into your life. I provide the empathy and acceptance needed to safely explore your experiences without judgment. We meet using Google Meet, ensuring privacy and encryption for the sessions. It requires no downloads or accounts, just a single click from your phone, laptop, or tablet. Online therapy removes the stress of travel, allowing you to focus entirely on your wellbeing from a space where you feel safe.

Walk and Talk Therapy

This is similar to traditional counselling, but we meet outdoors and walk side-by-side at a gentle pace. Many people find this feels less intense than sitting face-to-face, and it can make it easier to open up and talk.

Outdoor Therapy

This approach brings the natural environment more actively into the therapeutic process. We may pay attention to what you notice around you, use the environment to support reflection, or explore how your connection with nature relates to your experience.

This way of working can feel grounding, spacious, and supportive particularly if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected.

The Walk and Talk and Outdoor Therapy sessions are offered in the Charnwood area of Leicestershire.

Practice description

I am a qualified Counsellor and a registered member with the BACP. I am a member of the Association for Outdoor Therapy (AOT) and the Person-Centred Association (tPCA). I also have a degree in Psychology BSc (hons)

I have worked with people experiencing anxiety, low mood, burnout, and the effects of long-term stress. I am particularly aware of how difficult it can be to prioritise yourself when you are used to being the one others rely on.

My approach is warm, and collaborative. I am non-judgemental and will not seek to analyse you. I will work alongside you to help you make sense of what you’re experiencing and find a way forward that feels right for you.

I have experience supporting people experiencing loss, grief, and bereavement. Alongside my professional experience, I have my own lived experience of loss, which has deepened my understanding of the personal nature of grief. I will offer a safe and compassionate space in which you can make sense of your own experience.

I aim to provide a neurodiversity - affirming practice with a person-centred approach recognising that neurodiversity can shape an individual's experience and communication of emotions, relationships and and sense of self.

My first session

Contact me if you would like to have an initial short discussion about working together. This will be online through Google Meet and take around 30 minutes. If we agree to work together, our first session will include an assessment so we can get to know each other and to agree a contract of how we will work together including confidentiality, and how counselling online and outdoors work.
