About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome to my profile
My name is Farrah and I am a fully qualified person centred therapist. I understand that everyone’s experiences are unique and that everyone deals with emotions and feelings differently. Which is why I believe that person centred therapy is a great option as it focuses on the individual, what you feel comfortable bringing up, and going at your own pace. We can build a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship with no judgement, hopefully helping you to speak openly and achieve what you need from counselling. Whether that be increasing self-awareness, gaining clarity and realisation, or even support with experiencing changes. I am aware that taking the first few steps towards therapy can be extremely overwhelming but I believe everyone has the potential to gain happiness and self-contentment with some support along the way. I have worked with a wide variety of clients all presenting with a number of different issues. Prior to private practice I worked within a charity based practise, which included both shorter term and longer term work with clients depending on their needs.
I have a first class applied psychology degree and a first class masters in counselling and psychotherapy practice. I also complete further professional development hours and have regular clinical supervision in order to continue bettering myself and my practice. I am also fully insured.
I look forward to hearing from you and working together so please feel free to get in touch!
Practice description
Each session will last 50 minutes and will be online via Microsoft Teams. I am able to work with adult clients (18+) across the UK.
I primarily work in a person centred way, this type of therapy involves you bringing up the issues and topics you want to speak about and explore further, whilst being in a safe and non-judgemental environment. Therapy can be taken at your own pace and progression can look different for everyone; the main priority is to make sure you feel comfortable throughout. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any further questions.
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute consultation, online or via phone, prior to our first session. This allows you to ask any questions you may have and briefly go over what has brought you to therapy.
During our first session we can start to delve deeper into the issues you want to explore and what you would like to achieve from therapy going forward.
