About me and my therapy practice
Feeling anxious, stuck, or afraid is a common response to traumatic or overwhelming experiences, especially when they don't fit neatly into our understanding of the world. Acknowledging these painful feelings can be incredibly difficult, and pushing them away to "carry on" often feels like the safest option. If you're ready to gently share what you’ve been carrying, we can explore this together at a pace that feels right for you. I welcome anyone needing a safe space to heal, and we can begin whenever you're ready.
If you are a survivor or witness involved in the criminal justice system, or supporting a family member through the process, you may be experiencing a complex range of emotions which bring additional stress, worry and uncertainty. I understand how difficult this can be and offer a supportive space to help make sense of what you are experiencing.
Practice description
How I work
I offer deep acceptance, providing a safe environment where you can freely express yourself without fear of judgment. While I lean on an understanding of how our past experiences shape our present relationships, you remain the expert on your own life. Together, we'll explore your feelings and reflections, following your own curiosity.
Sessions take place in a calm, private, and purposefully designed counselling room. Online and telephone sessions are also available.
Advocacy Experience
My practice builds on 20 years of advocacy in the charity and public sectors, including refugee resettlement and court witness support. I deeply understand systemic stress, trauma, and acute anxiety. If you're navigating the criminal justice system, I have been trained by The Survivors Trust to protect your right to receive vital, immediate therapy.
Qualifications
I hold a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling, alongside accreditation in Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity (GSRD). This advanced training ensures my practice is fully inclusive, affirmative, and uniquely equipped to help you explore your identity and relationships safely.

Getting Started
I offer a brief telephone conversation, as a gentle first step where you can ask anything about my approach and share a little about what is bringing you to therapy. There’s no pressure at all.
If it feels like we’re a good fit, we can talk about what working together might look like.
