About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes, you can look like you’re coping on the outside while feeling completely overwhelmed on the inside. You may be feeling stuck, disconnected or unsure what to do next.
I offer online counselling for adults across the UK, including online counselling in Wellingborough and Northamptonshire.
Sessions are a calm, supportive and confidential space where you can talk openly about what you're experiencing. I'll listen without judgement, offer gentle reflections and follow your pace, helping you explore your thoughts, feelings, relationships and next steps.
Practice description
Life can feel overwhelming when you’re taking new steps, facing uncertainty, or standing at a crossroads. Sometimes we know something needs to change, but we’re not quite sure what that change looks like. Sometimes we feel pulled in different directions by what we want, what others expect of us, and what we think we should be doing.
This is where I see counselling having a place...
My hope is that our work together helps you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your experiences and your relationships, while giving you the space to consider your next steps with greater clarity and self-compassion.
Areas I feel particularly passionate about supporting:
Neurodiversity, stress and burnout
Perhaps you're exhausted from constantly trying to keep up, masking parts of yourself, or working out why things that seem easy for others feel so difficult for you.
Family relationships, estrangement and grief
We don't always get the family relationships we hoped for. You may be grieving a relationship that has changed, setting boundaries, navigating estrangement, or carrying complicated feelings about people you're supposed to be close to.
Relationships and communication
You may find yourself having the same arguments, struggling to express what you need, or unsure how to balance your own needs with those of the people around you.
Cross-cultural experiences, migration and identity
Sometimes belonging isn't as simple as having a place to call home. You may be navigating two cultures, carrying expectations from your upbringing while building a life somewhere new, or questioning where you fit.
My first session
Starting counselling can feel like a big step.
Email me to book a free intro call to get to know each other a little and talk about what you’re looking for, how I work, and whether we feel like a good fit to work together.
There is no pressure to commit, and you don’t need to share your whole story during this call.
If you decide to begin counselling, our first session is about building trust and rapport, talking through how we’ll work together, and beginning to explore what has brought you to counselling.
There is no expectation that you need to have everything figured out or tell me everything at once. We can take our time and begin wherever feels most comfortable for you.
If you’re thinking about starting counselling, or wondering whether it might be the right time for you, you’re very welcome to get in touch via email at Simona.NextSteps@gmail.com.
