About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Rav.
I offer a warm, thoughtful space where you can talk openly and explore what’s happening in your life at your own pace. I work with adults and young people, and I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting. Our first conversation is a chance to talk about what brings you here and whether working together feels right for you.
My approach is integrative and rooted in person-centred counselling. I’ll listen closely to what matters to you and help you explore patterns in your feelings and relationships. We might look at how earlier experiences affect you now, or focus on practical ways to understand and manage what you’re going through. We’ll decide together what feels useful.
As a British Asian counsellor and doctoral trainee in counselling psychology, I’m attentive to how culture, race, faith, identity and family expectations can shape our lives. You’re welcome to bring all parts of yourself to therapy, including experiences that have felt difficult to explain or haven’t been understood elsewhere.
I offer short-term and longer-term therapy in person in Farnham and online. Outdoor sessions are also available by arrangement. Pickle, my therapy dog, can join suitable sessions by prior agreement if you would find her presence comforting. This is entirely optional.
If you’re thinking about counselling, you’re welcome to book a free 20-minute consultation so we can talk about what you’re looking for.
