About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, empathic and non-judgemental space where you can explore difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace. I understand that seeking support can feel daunting, so I aim to help you feel safe, heard and accepted.
My approach is integrative and primarily person-centred, meaning our work is guided by you and your unique experiences. Where helpful, I draw on psychodynamic ideas to explore emotional and relationship patterns, including how earlier experiences may influence the present. I may also use elements of CBT and psychoeducation when appropriate.
We will work collaboratively to develop self-awareness, understand your emotional world, build resilience and find healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. I support adults and young people with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, trauma, shame, anger, chronic illness and pain, relationship and family difficulties, neurodivergence, identity, loneliness and life transitions.
As a British Asian therapist, I am passionate about inclusive and accessible counselling. I practise in an anti-discriminatory, culturally sensitive and affirming way, recognising how culture, race, faith, identity, family expectations and lived experience can shape emotional wellbeing.
Sessions are available face-to-face in Farnham, online and in selected outdoor settings.
I offer specially arranged sessions at Brushwood Sauna, a peaceful, private woodland setting where the focus remains on therapeutic conversation and emotional support. Outdoor therapy may also be available in Alice Holt Forest on the Surrey–Hampshire border. The format, facilities, confidentiality and suitability of these sessions will be agreed in advance.
Pickle, my Cavapoo × Cockapoo, may join suitable sessions by prior agreement. Her calm, affectionate presence can feel comforting and grounding. Her involvement is entirely optional and will depend on your preferences, allergies, fears, the setting and clinical suitability.
