About me and my therapy practice
I’m Suzanne, a counsellor, educator, and founder of Maidstone Counselling Services. My work is rooted in the belief that every person carries a unique story — often complex, often layered — and that therapy offers a safe space to gently unravel the puzzle of your life. Together, we explore how your experiences have shaped the ways you think, feel, and react, creating room for understanding, healing, and change.
Practice description
I work integratively, drawing from CBT, person‑centred and psychodynamic approaches. This means sessions are tailored to you rather than fitting you into a single model. I am experienced in trauma‑informed practice, supporting clients who have lived through difficult or overwhelming experiences and helping them rebuild a sense of safety and self‑trust.
My first session
Your first session is free — it’s a relaxed chance for us to chat, get a feel for each other, look at what you’re hoping for from therapy, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.
