I see clients in person at North London Therapy Practice's Golders Green office, very close to Golders Green Station.
My Finchley consulting room is a short walk from Finchley Central Station. Both North London locations are also easily accessible by road, with convenient parking.
I have a Central London consulting room, directly opposite Liverpool Street Station in the City.
Online sessions are available too, so you can work with me wherever you are in the UK.
Please contact me for the latest information on availability at each location.
About me and my therapy practice
I’m an integrative therapist, which means I don’t squeeze everyone into one method. I draw on a few approaches and use whichever suits you and what you’re dealing with.
Person-centred therapy gives you a space where you feel heard, not judged. Attachment theory helps us understand how early relationships shape the way you connect with people now. REBT (Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy) looks at the rigid thinking that drives painful feelings and finds more flexible alternatives. ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) helps you make room for difficult thoughts and feelings and act on what matters to you. CFT (Compassion Focused Therapy) eases harsh self-criticism. FAP (Functional Analytic Psychotherapy) uses the relationship between us, as it unfolds in the room, to practise new ways of connecting.
These approaches share a simple idea: change happens when we become more aware of our thoughts and feelings, learn to work with our experiences instead of fighting them, and build stronger connections with ourselves and others.
Therapy with me is collaborative and practical. We work at your pace, looking at the patterns that might be keeping you stuck. Some sessions are about understanding where you’ve come from. Others are about trying something different in your day-to-day life. You don’t need to know any of the jargon. I’ll explain anything I suggest in plain English.
My aim isn’t to fix you. It’s to help you understand yourself more clearly and feel freer in how you live.
Practice description
I offer a warm, down-to-earth space to talk openly and make sense of what’s going on for you, with no jargon and no judgement. I see adults and young people, one to one, in person in Finchley, Golders Green and the City of London, and online across the UK.
Before training as a therapist, I spent many years in journalism, technology and business. That shapes how I understand people and the pressures they’re under. I came to this work through my own experience of therapy, so I know how hard it can be to take the first step. I’m also passionate about making it easier for men, especially in midlife, to ask for help.
I gained much of my clinical experience at a charity offering affordable therapy to people from all kinds of backgrounds. I’ve worked with anxiety and constant worry, low mood, low self-esteem, perfectionism, work stress, OCD, relationship and sex difficulties, emotional regulation, parenting, identity and neurodiversity, including adults who are only now recognising ADHD or autistic traits in themselves.
I’m a registered member of the BACP and NCPS accredited. I keep a small number of reduced-fee places for people on a low income, so please ask.
My first session
Your first step is a free 20-minute chat, so you can ask questions and see whether we feel like a good fit before you commit to anything. Get in touch and we’ll find a time that works for you.
If you’d like to go ahead, sessions last 50 minutes. There’s nothing to prepare, and there are no forms or assessments to fill in beforehand.
In the first session we’ll talk about what’s brought you here, what you’d like to be different, and what’s been getting in the way. We’ll also go through how we’ll work together, and you can ask me anything. By the end, we’ll both have a clearer idea of how I can help, and you can decide whether to carry on.
Most people start with around 12 weekly sessions, and we review together at that point. There’s no fixed number, and you’re free to stop whenever you choose.
For in-person sessions, I’ll send you the address and directions beforehand. For online sessions, you’ll need a private space, a reliable internet connection and a device with a camera, and I’ll send you a link.
