About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Rachel, a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist offering in-person therapy in Stockport and online across the UK. I specialise in working with anxiety and loss, with a particular interest in OCD.
Maybe your feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stressed or stuck. Perhaps life feels harder than it used to, you’re struggling to switch off, or you’ve lost touch with what you need or want. Sometimes you know something doesn’t feel right but aren’t quite sure why, or what you’re supposed to do about it.
I provide a warm, compassionate and reflective space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences without judgement.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA) and mindfulness, tailoring therapy to your individual needs.
I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach or that people need fixing. Instead, I work alongside you with curiosity, compassion and care, helping you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and the challenges you may be facing.
Whether you're experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, grief, loss, or a sense that something doesn't feel quite right, therapy can offer a space to pause, reflect and make sense of yourself and your experiences.
Practice description
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's natural to feel uncertain about what to expect. My aim is to provide a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind and feel heard.
I believe therapy works best when there is a genuine and trusting relationship between therapist and client. Rather than telling you what to do or offering quick fixes, I work alongside you with curiosity, compassion and care to help you explore and make sense of patterns, thoughts, feelings or experiences that may be causing difficulty, at your own pace.
I offer a free 30 minute initial consultation call giving an opportunity for you to ask any questions, find out more about what it will be like to work together and see if working together feels like the right fit.
