About me and my therapy practice
I offer a person centred, humanistic approach to counselling, working collaboratively with clients to explore their experiences at their own pace and in their own way. My practice is grounded in the belief that each person holds the capacity for growth and self understanding, and that the therapeutic relationship is central to that process.
Alongside this, I draw on an extensive research background in adolescent mental health, addiction, and risk behaviour to inform my work. I am currently completing a PhD examining adolescent wellbeing and problematic digital behaviours, and hold a Master's degree in Applied Neuroscience. This means I bring both scientific depth and genuine curiosity to understanding how the brain, behaviour, and lived experience interact — without losing sight of the person in front of me.
I have a particular interest in working with adolescents and young people, as well as adults navigating questions of identity, self awareness, and behavioural change. I am also informed by current thinking in neurodiversity, and aim to offer a practice that is responsive and accessible to clients with a range of cognitive and neurological profiles.
My approach is warm, non judgmental, and evidence informed — combining the relational foundations of humanistic counselling with an understanding of the neuroscience and research that sits behind human behaviour and wellbeing.
Practice description
I offer counselling online and, for those based in Gibraltar, in person. Sessions are available at flexible times to suit different schedules and commitments, and I welcome enquiries from individuals who are looking for a single session as well as those seeking longer term support. I also work with families where appropriate.
My practice is grounded in a humanistic, person centred approach, which means that sessions are led by you. There is no fixed agenda or predetermined path — instead, we work together at a pace that feels right, exploring whatever feels most pressing or difficult in your life. I aim to offer a space that is warm, non judgmental, and genuinely responsive to who you are and what you need.
I also welcome working with counselling students and offer reduced rates.
Whether you are navigating a specific difficulty, feeling stuck, or simply not quite yourself, I am available to talk and support you.
My first session
Please reach out via email or phone to arrange a first session to explore whether working together feels like the right fit for you.
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet, for you to share a little about what has brought you to counselling, and for me to understand what you are hoping for from the process. There is no obligation to continue beyond that initial conversation, and there is no pressure to have everything figured out before we speak — many people come not quite knowing where to start, and that is entirely fine.
