About me and my therapy practice

I’m an integrative counsellor who believes that you are more than the difficulties you are experiencing. Sometimes life can leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from ourselves or unsure of which way to turn. Counselling can offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to pause, be heard and begin to understand what is happening beneath the surface.

I work with a wide range of life experiences, including anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, past experiences and personal growth.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to counselling. Sometimes knowing that something needs to change is enough.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw from different therapeutic approaches and adapt our work to you as an individual. I don’t believe therapy should be a one-size-fits-all experience.

Your experiences, needs, personality and goals will guide the way we work together.

I also incorporate inner-child work, gently exploring how earlier experiences may continue to influence how we think, feel, relate to others and experience ourselves today. This can help develop greater self-understanding, compassion and acceptance for the parts of ourselves that may have felt unheard or unseen.

I take a whole-person approach, recognising the connection between our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing. I believe meaningful change can involve not only understanding our thoughts and feelings, but reconnecting with ourselves, our needs, values and sense of self.

My approach can be conversational, reflective and, where appropriate, creative and experiential. I will always adapt our work to your needs and what feels comfortable for you.

I want you to feel that you can come exactly as you are without judgement, without having to pretend you’re okay, and without needing to have all the answers. We can explore your story together, at your pace, and work towards the changes you want to make.

Practice description

My practice offers a warm, accepting and non-judgemental space where you can come exactly as you are. I want you to feel safe enough to be honest, curious enough to explore and supported enough to grow.

I will listen without judgement and meet you where you are, creating space for you to explore what is happening in your life without pressure to have all the answers. I won't tell you what you should do; instead, we will work together to understand your experiences and discover what feels right for you.

I believe therapy is about genuine human connection as well as therapeutic understanding. You can expect compassion, openness, curiosity and respect, alongside a willingness to explore the deeper experiences and patterns that may be affecting how you feel today.

I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel daunting. My aim is to make that first step feel as comfortable as possible and to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, valued and understood.

There is no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what you need. We can start wherever you are, and work from there together, at your pace.
