About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Nic.

Perhaps you’ve reached a point where things feel difficult, overwhelming, or just not quite right, and you’re wondering if talking to someone might help. You may not even know exactly what you need or where to begin. And that’s okay.

I care deeply about people and about getting to know the person behind what brings them to therapy.

I’m a BACP registered, relational, integrative therapist offering counselling and psychotherapy in-person in Bristol and online across the UK.

I offer a warm, accepting space where you can be yourself and talk openly, without judgement.

Being integrative means I don't stick to one fixed therapeutic approach, I draw on different ways of working and adapt them to suit you and what you need. Being relational means I believe the relationship we build together is central to the process. Rather than something done to you, therapy is something we do together, and it's within that connection that real change can happen.

Whatever you’re going through, I’m interested in your individual story. You don't need to prepare anything before our sessions - though if you'd like to, that's welcome too. Come as you are, and we'll find our way together, with curiosity and compassion, at whatever pace feels right for you.

Practice description

I believe that understanding someone also means understanding the world they live in. Our relationships, families, communities and wider society can all shape how we experience ourselves and our lives. My approach is trauma-informed and affirming of LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent identities, grounded in anti-oppressive practice. I recognise that we each experience the world in our own way, and I want to understand what that experience is like for you.

I’ve supported people through a range of experiences and stages of life, including (but not limited to) the perinatal period, perimenopause and menopause and student life. I’ve worked with people experiencing anxiety, low mood, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, grief, career burnout, recovery from addiction and questions around identity and belonging.

I’m also an Adult Third Culture Kid (ATCK) and have lived and worked internationally for much of my life. Moving between countries, cultures and ways of living has shaped my own understanding of identity, belonging and what it can mean to feel at home, or sometimes not quite at home, in the world around us. Living across cultures can bring richness and perspective as well as complexity, loss and uncertainty. This experience informs my therapeutic work and my curiosity about the different ways our relationships, cultures and environments shape who we become.

My first session

I know it can feel daunting to take the first step to reach out.

If you would like to explore working with me , send an email to nichalltherapy@gmail.com

From here we will then arrange a free 15 minute initial video or phone call (whichever works best for you) to discuss what brings you to therapy. This is a chance for us to get to know each other and explore what working together might like look like.

If you decide you’d like us to work together we’ll then schedule in your sessions.
