About me and my therapy practice

I am an MBACP Integrative Relational Counsellor. I draw on psychodynamic, person-centred and existential approaches, adapting the way I work to meet your individual needs and experiences.

I believe the relationship we build together is central to counselling. I aim to offer a safe, trusting and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and understood, explore your thoughts and feelings, and make sense of what is happening in your life.

You don't need to have all the answers or know exactly what you want to talk about. We can take things at your pace, exploring what matters to you and making space for questions, feelings and experiences that may be difficult to put into words. My aim is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and find your own way forward.

Practice description

I work with adults and young people who may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, difficulties with self-esteem, questions around identity, or challenges in their relationships. You may be going through a difficult period, feeling stuck or uncertain, questioning the direction of your life, worry about the future, or simply wanting to understand yourself better.

Alongside my counselling work, I bring professional experience in career counselling and coaching. I have a particular interest in the impact that work and career challenges can have on our wellbeing, including career transitions, work-related stress, burnout, confidence and workplace relationships.

Where appropriate, I may draw on coaching alongside our counselling work to help you explore options and consider practical steps towards change, while keeping your needs and therapeutic process at the centre.

My approach is guided by curiosity and respect for each person's unique story. As Irvin Yalom writes:

“I have approached all of my patients with a sense of wonderment at the story that will unfold.”

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute introductory session where we can get to know each other. It’s an opportunity for you to share a little about what brings you to counselling, ask any questions you may have, and find out more about how I work. Most importantly, it’s a chance for us to see whether you feel comfortable working with me. There’s no pressure or obligation, just a welcoming space to talk and explore whether counselling feels right for you.
