About me and my therapy practice
You may know what’s bringing you to therapy, or you may simply feel that something isn’t quite right. I offer a space where you can explore your experiences openly, including aspects of your identity, relationships and life that may be difficult to talk about elsewhere.
I’m a BACP-registered integrative therapist and counsellor. I’ve worked in charity, university and private practice settings, supporting people with a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, loss, life transitions, substance use and suicidal thoughts.
I hold a Level 7 Diploma in Integrative Counselling from the Minster Centre. I’m also completing an MA and Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a classical pianist.
Practice description
As an integrative therapist, I draw on different therapeutic approaches, adapting how we work to what feels most relevant to you.
We can start with what is happening for you now. We might explore what you are finding difficult, notice patterns that keep coming up, or look at how experiences from your past may be affecting you today. We may pay attention to your thoughts, feelings or physical sensations. We can also explore questions of identity, belonging and meaning if these are important to you.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and usually take place weekly. I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy.
My first session
The first session is a chance for us to meet and talk about what’s been going on for you. At its heart, therapy is a conversation, and the first session gives you a chance to see what working together might be like and whether you would like to continue.
If you’d like to arrange an initial session or have any questions, you’re welcome to get in touch.
