About me and my therapy practice

I’m an integrative therapist and counsellor. I have worked in charity, university and private practice settings, supporting people with a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, loss, life transitions, substance use and suicidal thoughts.

I offer an LGBTQIA+-affirming and culturally sensitive space where you can explore your experiences openly, including aspects of your identity, relationships and life that may be difficult to talk about elsewhere.

I grew up in Poland and moved to the UK as an adult. Living between two cultural contexts has shaped how I understand identity, home and belonging. This has made me attentive to what it can be like to move between cultures, languages and communities, and to carry more than one sense of home within you.

Before training as a therapist, I worked as a classical pianist.

Practice description

Therapy can be a space to explore the experiences, patterns and relationships that have shaped you, while opening up new ways of relating to yourself, others and the world around you.

I’m interested in the connections between past and present. Becoming more aware of patterns that may have their roots in earlier experiences can create space for change. But change doesn't only come through insight — sometimes it's through experiencing something different in the present that new possibilities begin to emerge.

As an integrative therapist, I draw on different therapeutic approaches to understand your experience. Rather than following one particular model, I adapt our work to what feels most relevant to you as the therapy develops. We might explore your past and its influence on the present, reflect on your current relationships and ways of being, or pay attention to your thoughts, emotions and bodily sensations. We might also explore questions of identity, belonging and a sense of home, or experiences that expand your understanding of who you are. At times, there may be space for questions about meaning, purpose, mortality and how you want to live.

The relationship we build in therapy is an important part of the work. I believe that being seen, understood and accepted is one of our fundamental human needs, and I aim to offer a space where you can speak honestly about whatever feels important to you.

I’m also mindful of the role that power, privilege and marginalisation can play in our lives, and I bring this awareness into the therapy room. I recognise that our experiences are shaped not only by our individual histories, but also by our relationships, identities and the wider social and cultural contexts in which we live.

My first session

The first session is a chance to talk about what brings you to therapy and what you might hope to get from it. I’ll ask questions to help us explore what is going on for you, and there will also be space for you to ask questions about how I work.

At its heart, therapy is a conversation, and the first session gives you a chance to see what working together might be like. It allows us both to consider whether my way of working could be helpful to you.
