About me and my therapy practice

Whatever is bringing you to therapy, I create a calm space that allows you to discover and delve deeper into your feelings and experiences. Through conversation and looking at the edges of where you feel comfortable, I support you to see yourself with more clarity, nurturing lasting change. I have a warm and relaxed manner, and offer a safe and non-judgemental space for us to explore whatever is coming up for you. I welcome all backgrounds, identities and neurotypes.

I am a qualified BACP-registered Integrative Counsellor, trained at The Minster Centre.

Practice description

My approach is integrative, which means that I don’t believe one approach fits all, and have been trained to draw on a mix of psychotherapeutic approaches. It is also relational, where this is a human-to-human relationship that will look different for everyone, but is grounded in kindness, compassion, curiosity, presence and trust.

Everyone has times in life when talking to someone, and feeling truly heard and seen, helps. At its heart, therapy offers this space where we can explore together whatever challenges you are experiencing. Whether you're navigating unhappiness, fear, overwhelm, burnout, grief or anxiety; facing difficulties in relationships, family life, health, or work - or you're just feeling stuck - therapy provides a safe and confidential space with someone trained to support you.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute Zoom call. This is a chance to meet, share what brings you to therapy, and see if the fit is right. If we decide to work together, we'll agree a regular weekly time to meet.

If we decide to work together, agreeing on a weekly time to meet, the first will be an opportunity for us to explore a little deeper whatever challenges you are experiencing, giving you a sense of who I am and how I work. We’ll discuss the important details that support the therapy, including confidentiality, safeguarding and the therapy agreement (which I will send in advance of the session for you to look over in your own time).

And from there, therapy will look different for everyone, as through openness and curiosity, we explore how therapy can support you in understanding yourself more deeply, enabling sustained growth and acceptance.
