About me and my therapy practice

When life feels challenging, situations or relationships can leave people feeling low, overwhelmed, in conflict, or stuck in patterns of feeling unseen, alone or wrong.

I offer a sensitive, empathic style of listening and understanding, supporting you to explore and make sense of your feelings, ways of relating and the challenges you are facing.

Both in St John’s Wood, London and online, I work with adults experiencing difficulties including anxiety, anger, shame, depression, low self worth, relationship difficulties, family conflict, neurodiversity, mortality, loss, grief, trauma and experiences that have left life feeling stuck or overwhelming.

I also bring particular experience of working with parents navigating challenges, family dynamics, and exploring guilt, boundaries, needs and differences in parenting styles.

All of your experience is welcome; feelings, beliefs, sensations, numbness and more. I support you towards deeper self-discovery and a fuller sense of yourself through attending to your struggles and patterns, and giving space to the ways you relate to yourself and others.

This may be through talking, exploring an experiential dialogue, or when words don’t reach it, inviting creative expression or movement. You remain in charge of what we explore and how.

I work collaboratively and responsively, staying attuned to you as you become more aware of your experience and what you want.

I work with you to expand your experience of yourself, others and the world, creating more possibility for acceptance, choice, aliveness or another longing.

Practice description

Experiences, including those from early life, and cultural or familial expectations can leave imprints that shape the way a person relates to themselves and others, and the patterns they may find themselves repeating.

When relationships have involved loss, neglect, conflict, trauma or differences in power, these experiences can continue to affect how we meet ourselves and other people.

Ways of responding such as overcompensating, self-criticism, withdrawing, or having a strong need to feel understood and valid, often develop for good reason, yet can become familiar ways of being.

Therapy offers the opportunity to notice what happens between us, in the present moment, while having someone alongside you who can listen carefully, respond to and hold you and your experience.

People have always gathered to share their stories, struggles, hopes and fears. You are not meant to make sense of everything alone.

My background brings over twenty-five years of working with people, parents, children and bereaved young people across natural food and wellbeing, mental health, education and developmental psychology.

I work for several therapy services, supporting people experiencing a wide range of difficulties and trauma, and with parents through a charity addressing family conflict and relational trauma.

I trust in your own wisdom, meet you with openness, and accompany you as you navigate your inner and outer world.

Bringing attention to a tightly held feeling, thought or belief, and feeling held, seen and met in the present can create a different relationship with what has been difficult to carry, and allow new possibilities for living to emerge.

My first session

If you notice a need for support, feel stirred to connect, or are wondering whether working with me might be right for you, I offer a free 20 minute initial call.

You don’t need to share anything in particular, or we can talk about what has brought you here and what you are looking for.

It is an opportunity for you to get a sense of connection, safety and whether working together feels like a good fit.

Please get in touch to arrange your call and I look forward to speaking with you.
