About me and my therapy practice

I am Eglantine (she/her) and through therapy, I want to offer you a warm, safe and reliable space, where you can feel witnessed and valued. This is an opportunity to design your own path forward, with a greater sense of choice and clarity.

Together, we will work to build a collaborative relationship, helping you explore your patterns and connect with deeper emotions. This can lead you to open unexpected doors, to discover new meanings.

The way I practise is inclusive, affirming and anti-oppressive. I welcome all aspects of your identity: your culture, religion, race, class, neurotype, ability/disability status, gender, sexuality and relationship structure. My deep interest in working with diverse identities helps me hold your unique background and life experiences with sensitivity and care.

My professional experience

I have worked in several counselling settings, such as NHS Talking Therapies, organisations offering trauma-informed intercultural therapy to diverse communities, and low-cost therapy services. I am also a long-term volunteer with Samaritans, providing emotional support for those struggling to cope. This has allowed me to engage with people managing varied and complex life difficulties.

Prior to practising as a therapist, I worked for over a decade in financial services and then moved to the entertainment industry. This deepened my understanding of how professional dynamics and their inherent pressures can influence our sense of self, often affecting our mental well-being.

Practice description

My therapeutic approach

My approach is integrative and I will draw on a range of perspectives, mainly psychodynamic, humanistic and existential, to support your therapy journey.

In our work together, we will be curious about your inner psychological world: your feelings, thoughts, beliefs and values, the memories you store, consciously or unconsciously.

We will be attentive to your body, which carries you and which you carry: what it senses, how it reacts, the intentional use you make of it and what happens when it takes over.

We will also be mindful of the socio-cultural histories you inhabit, your experiences of marginalisation and privilege, and how they have shaped your life.

My first session

Introductory contact

You are welcome to contact me by phone or email. If I cannot answer straight away, I will aim to get back to you within two working days.

Choosing a therapist is an important decision, and it matters that you feel comfortable with your choice. I offer a short, free introductory call, by phone or online, so we can talk through any questions you may have and get a sense of whether I would be the right person to support you.

First session

The first session, and sometimes the second, will focus on your history, what had led you to seek therapy at this point in your life, and what you hope to gain from it. We will also talk about how therapy works and how long it might take to work through what is troubling you.
