About me and my therapy practice

I am Eglantine (she/her) and through therapy, I aim to offer you a warm, safe and reliable space, where you can feel witnessed and valued. Here is an opportunity to design your own path forward, with a greater sense of choice and clarity.

Together, we will work to build a collaborative relationship, helping you explore your patterns and connect with deeper emotions. This can lead you to open unexpected doors, to discover new meanings.

The way I practise is inclusive, affirming and anti-oppressive. I welcome all aspects of your identity: your culture, religion, race, class, neurotype, ability/disability status, gender, sexuality and relationship structure.

My professional experience

I have worked in several counselling settings, such as NHS Talking Therapies, organisations offering trauma-informed intercultural therapy to diverse communities, and low-cost therapy services. I am also a long-term volunteer with Samaritans, providing emotional support for those struggling to cope. This has allowed me to engage with people managing varied and complex life difficulties.

Prior to practising as a therapist, I worked for over a decade in financial services and then moved to the entertainment industry. This deepened my understanding of how professional dynamics and their inherent pressures can influence our sense of self, often affecting our mental well-being.

Practice description

My therapeutic approach

My approach is integrative and I will rely on a range of perspectives, mainly psychodynamic, humanistic and existential, to support your therapy journey.

In our work together, we will be curious about your inner psychological world: your feelings, thoughts, beliefs and values, the memories you store, consciously or unconsciously.

We will be attentive to your body, which carries you and which you carry: what it senses, how it reacts, the intentional use you make of it and what happens when it takes over.

We will also be mindful of the socio-cultural histories you inhabit, your experiences of marginalisation and privilege, and how they have shaped your life.

My first session

Introductory contact

You are welcome to contact me by phone or email with any questions you may have. If I am unable to respond in the moment, I will aim to do so within 48 hours.

Before deciding to work together, I offer a free short introductory call, online or by phone, so we can discuss what is bringing you to therapy and get a sense of each other.

First session

The first session, and perhaps the following one too, will focus on your history, explore your current issues, and discuss what your goals may be for therapy.

This will be an opportunity for you to find out more about the therapeutic process, and have a conversation about the timeframe that would best allow you to work through the issues troubling you, in order to take you forward.
