Availability
I currently offer in-person counselling sessions for clients in Falmouth. Sessions can be scheduled during weekdays, Saturdays, and some evenings.
I also work online, so I'm available to clients in the wider UK and worldwide.
For first-time clients, I offer a complimentary 20 minute introductory call to discuss your needs, answer questions, and explore whether counselling with me feels like a good fit.
About me and my therapy practice
I’m a therapist with a background in the arts. Originally trained in Person-Centred Counselling, I now work with a range of therapeutic techniques.
For me, therapy is story - how we experience and process our story, how we tell it and who we tell it to. There are some things we withhold from those closest to us, or things we try to tell them that they can’t or won’t hear. Sometimes too there are things we struggle to tell ourselves, or that we’ve hidden so deep we’ve forgotten they exist, despite their echo in our lives.
Why come and see me?
I have long and wide experience of counselling and therapy with individuals, couples, and groups from all backgrounds. I work with trauma and loss, and their effects on our mental health, and I offer a safe, sometimes challenging but always supportive environment to explore your story in - to discover, to remember, and to heal.
I have specialist knowledge of creative processes in the arts, public sector, and corporate environments. I’ve facilitated group work as well as counselling and coaching individual creative journeys. For me, therapeutic exploration and creative exploration are often two sides of the same coin.
What can I help with?
Individual and couple’s therapy including anxiety, bereavement, bullying, career struggles, children’s issues, creativity, cultural issues, depression, domestic abuse, identity, imposter-syndrome, infertility, loss, men’s issues, PTSD, relationships, religion, self-esteem, spirituality, and stress.
Practice description
I offer online counselling sessions for adults, both individuals and couples. I don't currently work with children, but I do offer support to teenagers (post 14).
Sessions are 1 hour long.
They can be long-term or short-term depending on your needs.
