About me and my therapy practice
Welcome
There are many reasons people arrive in therapy. These range from a vague sense therapy might help us with something we can't quite put our finger on, through to a clear concern or aim.
Whatever has led you to consider therapy, I appreciate it might feel daunting and unusually vulnerable to find a therapist - someone you can imagine speaking openly with.
My name is Catherine, and I'm a BACP-registered integrative therapist. I offer 1-2-1 sessions for adults in Clapham Common (SW4), Queen's Park (NW6, wheelchair-accessible premises), and online (within the UK).
About integrative therapy
As an integrative therapist, I've been trained in a breadth of psychotherapeutic approaches. This allows me to reflect on our work through a variety of lenses, and offer support that's unique to who you are, and what you're currently seeking from therapy.
About the integrative therapy I offer
The psychotherapeutic traditions I draw from include relational psychoanalysis, humanistic, existential, and body psychotherapy. Informed by neuroscientific research and my training, I incorporate mindfulness and creative approaches alongside talking.
About my training and experience
My training to date has taken place at the Minster Centre, where:
- I hold a BACP-accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
- I am in the final stages of working towards a UKCP-accredited MA in Integrative Psychotherapy.
Alongside continued professional education and work in private practice, I volunteer as a therapist for a low-cost counselling service, and for a charitable service providing carers with short-term therapy.
Compassion, spaciousness, integrity
These values are at once personal and professional. They guide all aspects of my practice, which I seek to make accessible and inclusive.
If you have a question about any aspect of my practice, or if you'd like to see how it feels to speak with one another during a short call, you're very welcome to reach out:
Practice description
Time and Frequency
Sessions last for 50 minutes. They happen at the same time, in the same place each week. I offer sessions during weekday daytimes, including early morning availability online.
Duration
I offer therapy on an open-ended basis, and you have the right to end our work at any time. I'll explicitly check in with you after sessions 1 and 6, to agree whether to continue.
Fees (including low cost)
- Standard rate: £90 - £140 / 50 minutes
- Low cost rate: £40 / 50 minutes
We'll agree at outset what sliding scale rate you could manage if we were to meet weekly. If you'd like to work together but cost is a barrier to access: please enquire.
My low cost rate is reserved for those with low household income and savings. No proof is required.
Accessibility
Whether your ability to access sessions is impacted by cost, timings, physical needs, sensory needs, processing style, or something else entirely:
I welcome you to reach out and let me know what adjustments would make therapy possible for you. If I'm able to adjust my practice to meet you, I will.
Getting started
