About me and my therapy practice

My name is Catherine, and I'm an integrative counsellor and therapist whose practice is based in London, UK.

My training to date has taken place at the Minster Centre, where:

  • I hold a BACP-accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
  • I am in the final stages of working towards a UKCP-accredited MA in Integrative Psychotherapy.

Alongside continued professional education and work in private practice, I volunteer as a counsellor/therapist for two charities.

Above all, I value compassion, spaciousness, integrity - and play! These values inform and underscore my therapeutic approach.

Practice description

Practising relationally means there's no template for therapy. Sessions will be unique, guided by what you and I notice.

My integrative training means that what I notice and reflect back to you will be informed by a range of theoretical schools:

From transactional analysis, neuroscience, humanistic theory, buddhism, disability justice and somatics, to name just a few.

I might also invite you to experiment with different ways of noticing and exploring: through art, breath, metaphor, movement.

Over time, we'll build awareness of what feels therapeutically beneficial for you.

My first session

In your first full session, I'll ask you some questions and take notes to build an initial picture of you in the context of your life.

You'll also have the opportunity to ask me questions, and we'll discuss what you might hope for or expect from therapy.

After that first session, we'll each have the chance to reflect on whether I could offer you appropriate therapeutic support.

If both of us decide to proceed, I'll send you a short contract to read and sign.

We'll typically continue to meet weekly on an open-ended basis - with no minimum or maximum number of sessions.
