About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome, my name is Fiona and I'm a person-centred counsellor.
Are you struggling with thoughts, emotions, or behaviours that affect your daily life and relationships?
Person-centred counselling creates a safe and supportive environment that encourages self-exploration and personal growth without judgement. Each session is focused on building genuine connections that empower personal transformation and lasting wellbeing.
My practice is built on a foundation of compassion, respect, and collaboration. Together, we will navigate life's challenges, as we travel along your own unique path.
As a person-centred counsellor, I provide a safe, compassionate, non judgemental space where you can feel heard and supported, either in person in Forres, Nairn and Inverness or online throughout the UK.
Practice description
My counselling approach is person centred, focusing on building genuine connections that empower personal transformation and lasting wellbeing.
Person-centred counselling creates a safe and supportive environment that encourages self-exploration and personal growth without judgement. This approach fosters trust and openness, leading to improved well-being by empowering you to take charge of your own unique journey.
I have experience counselling in a range of areas including
- Stress & Anxiety
- Neurodiversity
- Addictive Behaviours
- Loss & Bereavement
- Life Transitions & Challenges
- Identity & Relationships
- Long term health conditions such as Fibromyalgia and ME
- Mental Illness including Depression, Bipolar, Tourettes and BPD
- Self Harm
- Trauma & Abuse
- Emotional Wellbeing / Emotional Regulation
My practice is grounded in the integration of mind and body, recognizing that the body holds its own inherent wisdom.
I welcome and respect diversity including gender, sexuality, and relationship choices. I stay mindful of assumptions and language as I value the uniqueness of each person and see all identities and consensual lifestyles as intrinsic expressions of human life.
If this resonates for you, I offer an initial free 20 minute appointment, to discuss your counselling requirements in more depth and any queries or questions you may have, in a safe, supportive and judgement free space.
My practice is built on genuine connection, respect, and client autonomy, therefore we will only move forward into counselling sessions if you feel comfortable doing so.
My first session
In our first counselling session I’ll gather some key information from you (more details are in the privacy policy section of my website). I will also give a brief overview of how I work, both practically and ethically.
Once you’re comfortable with moving forward, we can begin our counselling journey together.
The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other. You’ll have the chance to discuss what’s brought you to counselling, what you’re hoping for, and any concerns you might have. There’s no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with, and we’ll move at your own pace.
Going forward, we will periodically review your progress together to ensure the therapy remains aligned with your evolving needs.
