Availability

I work flexible hours and have some availability for new clients.

It is important that you feel comfortable with me and that we feel like a good fit.

This is why I offer a free 20-minute consultation where you can talk about what has brought you to therapy, ask any questions you may have and get a sense of what it might be like to work together.

There is no pressure to make a decision during the consultation.

You can take time afterwards to reflect on our conversation, how it felt to talk to me and whether you would like to take the next step.

You can schedule a session for a time that works for you. Please visit my website www.thegrowthelement.co.uk and click on the Book a free consultation link.

About me and my therapy practice

For women navigating midlife, relationship difficulties and the emotional demands of carrying too much.

Learn to feel grounded; confident to make choices that reflect what matters to you.

Do you feel overwhelmed, tired of putting others needs first?

Perhaps you’re the person everyone relies on. You look like you’re coping but beneath the surface, you feel exhausted, overwhelmed and tired of putting everyone else's needs first.

You may have a demanding job, be caring for loved ones, meeting endless expectations and have reached a point where you're wondering:

What about me?

I understand those feelings because I've lived them too.

You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. Recognising that something needs to change is enough.

Are you experiencing one or more of these:

• Anxiety: Feeling overwhelmed or worried about things you used to take in your stride.

• Burnout: Feeling physically and emotionally exhausted from holding yourself to impossibly high standards and expectations.

• Low self-worth: Feeling that you're not 'good enough' or listening to the critical voice that tells you that you should be ‘better’.

• Changing relationships: Feeling worn down by relationship difficulties or adjusting to changing family dynamics.

• Empty nest: Feeling the emotional impact of children leaving home, and wondering what this new chapter means for you.

• Grief and loss: Coming to terms with the loss of a relationship, a role, a version of yourself or a future you had imagined.

• Perimenopause or menopause: Navigating the physical, emotional and psychological changes alongside everything else life is asking of you.

• Identity questions: Wondering who you are now and what matters to you at this stage of your life.

Or perhaps you simply have a sense that something isn't quite right anymore, but you're not sure exactly what needs to change.

We can work together to understand what's beneath those feelings and explore what you need now.

Practice description

Through our work together, you can learn to feel more grounded, more confident in yourself and be better able to make choices that reflect who you are and what matters to you.

I am an integrative therapist and I work in person from a private counselling space in Southport and online and via telephone across the UK.

I offer emapthy, non-judgement, warmth and acceptance and will meet you where you are now (not where you think you should be).

My approach builds rapport between us so that we can build trust, you can feel emotional safety and be therapeutically held within this space.

I can support you with:

A safe, compassionate space

A place to explore your feelings and the challenges you're facing without judgement.

Deeper exploration:

We can look beneath the surface to understand past experiences, patterns and ways of being that may no longer fit with who you are today.

A personal toolkit:

Develop practical ways to

- recognise when you're becoming overwhelmed,

- understand your emotional and nervous-system responses, and

- find ways to feel calmer and more grounded in difficult moments.

My therapeutic approach:

My therapeutic integration is guided by our relationship. I draw on different therapeutic models, tailoring my approach to you as an inidvidual. The approaches I draw on are Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, Existential and Gestalt.

My work is guided by the BACP Ethical Framework, promoting safe, respectful and client-centred practice.

My qualifications include a Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy from The University of Lancashire and ongoing post graduate training in Transactional Analysis.

I am professionally insured, I engage in regular clinical supervision, continual professional development and I have enhanced DBS clearance.
