About me and my therapy practice
My practice is grounded in a person-centred approach, built on the belief that you are the true expert on your own life. I do not offer advice, instruct, or tell you what to do. Instead, I provide a warm, confidential, and genuinely non-judgemental space where we work collaboratively at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you.
Every person's journey is unique, so our sessions are adapted to suit your specific needs - whether that involves working through immediate day-to-day challenges, exploring past experiences, or finding gentle, accessible ways to process complex emotions.
I offer online, telephone, and face-to-face sessions for adults and young people. As a Registered Member of the BACP, my practice is held to high professional standards and guided entirely by the BACP Ethical Framework.
Practice description
Life can feel overwhelming when you are navigating stress, anxiety, low mood, or major life transitions. Finding a compassionate environment where you feel truly heard can make all the difference. While I welcome clients bringing a wide range of personal concerns, I offer particular expertise in three key areas:
• General Emotional Wellbeing: Supporting adults experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, low self-esteem, life changes, or a general sense of feeling "stuck."
• Children, Young People & Families: Drawing on nearly 25 years in pastoral care and currently undertaking an Advanced Specialist Level 5 qualification in Children & Young People (CYP), I help young people and families navigate emotional struggles, school pressures, and family dynamics.
• Chronic Illness & Long-Term Health Conditions: Holding a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences alongside personal lived experience of managing a chronic condition, I provide tailored emotional support for those dealing with physical health issues, medical fatigue, pain, identity shifts, and health-related grief. In our sessions, you will never have to explain or justify your physical limits.
My first session
Taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting, so I aim to make the initial process as smooth and comfortable as possible.
I offer a free 20-minute introductory telephone consultation. This is an informal opportunity for us to chat, discuss what you are looking for support with, address any questions you might have about therapy, and decide if we feel like a good fit to work together.
If we decide to move forward, our first full working session will focus on establishing your goals for therapy, discussing practicalities, and gently beginning to explore what brings you to counselling at a pace that feels safe for you.
Please feel free to send me a message or email using the contact form to arrange a convenient time for your free 20-minute telephone call.
