About me and my therapy practice
I'm Vic, a qualified integrative counsellor, and I believe that being able to sit with another person, be heard and feel understood can be incredibly valuable.
I'm genuinely interested in people, their stories and what makes them who they are. I want to understand your world from your perspective, not make assumptions about what you feel or what you need.
When you sit with me, you don't need to have the right words, know where to begin or have everything figured out. You can come as you are, bringing whatever feels important to you.
I won't come with a script or expect you to fit a particular way of working. I'll take the time to hear you, see you and understand what life feels like for you. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels right for you.
I see you as a whole person, not simply a diagnosis, a condition or a difficult chapter in your life. Your experience matters because it matters to you.
My aim isn't to tell you how to feel or where you should be. It's to meet you where you are, stay alongside you, and offer a space where you can be yourself without judgement or expectation.
Practice description
Life can take us in directions we never expected. Sometimes we know what we're struggling with; at other times, we may simply feel overwhelmed, lost or unsure of how to move forward.
I have experience supporting people through life's challenges, including anxiety and depression, bereavement and loss, major life transitions, changes in health or independence, loneliness and isolation, caring for loved ones, retirement and a loss of purpose.
I also understand the challenges of living with pain and the complexities of parenting a child or adult with special educational needs (SEN).
Perhaps you're navigating a difficult time, adjusting to changes you didn't choose, or carrying the weight of caring for someone else. Perhaps you don't have a specific issue to name; you just need someone to listen and help you make sense of how you're feeling.
Whatever brings you to counselling, you don't have to have all the answers before you begin.
My first session
Your first session is offered at a one-off cost of £40, with no commitment to continue.
It’s an opportunity to talk about whatever has brought you to counselling, explore your thoughts and feelings, and begin to understand what might be helpful for you.
If you decide you would like to continue, future sessions are £60 for 50 minutes.
There is no pressure or expectation to return. It’s about finding what feels right for you.
