About me and my therapy practice
Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed, caught in overthinking, or so used to caring for others that your own needs have slipped out of view. You might know what’s hurting, or simply feel that something isn’t right. My experiences of bereavement, loss and trauma, and being supported through counselling, helped shape my path into becoming a therapist. They also shaped my wish to offer a place where you can feel heard and make room for yourself. You don’t need to have the answers or know where to begin. We can find a starting point together.
I’m Jordanna, a qualified integrative therapist. I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can speak openly and explore what’s happening for you without judgement. There is room for feelings you can explain, and those you haven’t yet found words for.
At the heart of my practice is a person-centred approach. I want to understand your experiences from your perspective, respecting that you know your life in ways nobody else can. I will take time to listen and get to know you.
My role is to walk alongside you, helping you explore your feelings, recognise your needs and develop trust in your own choices. We can take our time with what feels difficult.
I bring empathy, curiosity and creativity to our work. I draw on Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Transactional Analysis. We might explore relationships and recurring patterns, make space for difficult feelings, or consider practical ways of approaching challenges. We will decide together, with room for your feedback.
I believe the relationship we build is central to counselling. Feeling accepted and understood can help you share what you have been carrying and explore what moving forward might mean for you.
You don’t need to arrive with a clear goal. We can begin wherever you are. You’re welcome to email me with questions or to explore whether working together might feel right for you.
Practice description
I offer counselling for adults from Libertas Therapy in Lymm, Cheshire. My aim is to offer a welcoming space where you can take time for yourself and explore what’s happening in your life without judgement.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are open-ended, which means there is no fixed number you need to attend. We will agree together how often we meet, taking account of your needs and circumstances, and regularly review how you are finding our work.
You are welcome to begin wherever you are, whether you have something specific you want to explore or need space to understand what you’re feeling. We will work at your pace, with opportunities to ask questions and tell me what feels helpful.
My first session
Before booking your first session, you’re welcome to email me to arrange a free 20-minute consultation. This gives us a chance to introduce ourselves, talk briefly about what you’re looking for and explore whether working together feels right for you. I’ll explain how sessions work and give an overview of confidentiality. There’s no obligation to book afterwards.
Your first counselling session lasts 50 minutes and costs £50. We’ll take time to settle in, go through our counselling agreement and discuss confidentiality, practical arrangements and any questions you have.
You can share what has brought you to counselling and what you hope it might offer, but you don’t need to arrive with a clear goal or a prepared story. It’s okay to feel nervous, be unsure what to say or need a little time.
We’ll begin wherever feels manageable for you. You can ask questions, pause or let me know if something feels uncomfortable. This is also your opportunity to get a sense of me and how I work, so you can decide whether you would like to continue.
