About me and my therapy practice
Life can sometimes feel very overwhelming. It can bring difficulties in how we relate to our partners, family or friends, and even make us question who we are. Sometimes, we find ourselves facing the same struggles, perhaps even years later. These patterns can be difficult to recognise and change, leaving us feeling stuck, anxious or low. Counselling offers a confidential and supportive space to pause, explore what’s happening and better understand what you need. Sessions can be either online or face-to-face.
There’s no right way to be a client - you don’t need the perfect words, or a clear story, or to prove how much you’re struggling. Although therapy can sometimes feel challenging, it can also bring healing, hope and a greater sense of understanding. It’s completely okay to feel unsure, anxious or not know where to begin.
ABOUT ME
I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Whether you choose online counselling or in-person sessions at my Lightwater practice, I offer a compassionate space to explore your thoughts and feelings. You can speak openly, at your own pace, without judgement or pressure to have everything neatly worked out.
Together, we can explore and reflect on what is happening for you in a way that feels manageable. There may be difficult moments, but there can also be honesty, warmth and light-heartedness.
Alongside my private practice, I also work within a counselling agency in Berkshire, supporting a wide range of clients.

Practice description
HOW I WORK
My integrative approach draws on person-centred and psychodynamic therapy. This means we can explore what you are experiencing now while also considering how earlier experiences may be affecting you. I adapt our work to suit you, using conversation, creative approaches, metaphor and regulation techniques where it is helpful.
I offer a supportive and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, relationships – anything you want to bring. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to listen carefully, notice patterns, help you understand yourself more fully and support you in finding a way forward that feels right for you.
SESSIONS
I offer counselling to adults aged 18 and over with sessions lasting 50 minutes. They can be open-ended or arranged for an agreed period, usually weekly or with the flexibility to choose a frequency that suits you. Some people choose a small number of sessions to focus on a particular issue, while others prefer longer-term support.
PRACTICE LOCATION
My private practice is in a quiet and calm setting in Lightwater, Surrey with parking available and being only a few minutes’ drive from Junction 3 of the M3.
It offers convenient access from Camberley, Frimley, Bagshot, West End, Woking, Windlesham, Chobham, Deepcut, Frimley Green, Farnborough, Virginia Water, Ascot, Sunninghill and Sunningdale.
(Please note that the counselling room is up a short flight of stairs with no lift so online sessions may be more suitable for people with mobility difficulties.)
PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
I am a registered member of the BACP and work in accordance with its Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. I also hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate, professional indemnity insurance and ICO registration.
My first session
Before we begin, I offer a free 15-minute introductory phone or Teams video call. This gives you an opportunity to ask questions, tell me a little about what has brought you to counselling and decide whether working together feels like a good fit—without pressure or obligation.
