About me and my therapy practice

I'm a psychotherapeutic counsellor and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, seeing clients in Shoreditch on Wednesdays at Therapy Space East. I hold a Clinical Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counselling.

My work is existential in orientation and relational in approach. Gestalt therapy works with the whole person, with feeling, thought, body and relationship, rather than with insight alone.

People come to me with a wide range of concerns: anxiety and low mood, burnout and difficulties at work, relationship struggles, grief and loss, trauma, questions of identity, or a sense of being stuck or at a crossroads. I also work with people experiencing despair or suicidal thoughts, and with people wanting to make sense of a diagnosis they have received elsewhere, including ADHD.

My practice is LGBTQ+ affirmative and culturally inclusive, with sensitivity around identity, gender, sexuality, race and culture.

I am also a Listed Teacher with the British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches (BAMBA), and mindfulness informs the work where it is useful.

Practice description

I see clients for weekly 50-minute sessions on Wednesdays at Therapy Space East, a discreet, well-established practice at 2 Blackall Street, close to Old Street, Liverpool Street and Shoreditch High Street. Please note the room does not have step-free access; if that is a barrier, my Regent Street room or online sessions may suit you better.

I also see clients at Regent Street in central London on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and online by secure video at other times.

Sessions are £80. Payment is made by card through a secure client portal before each session, and I ask for at least 7 days' notice to cancel or rearrange.

Sessions are confidential, in line with the BACP Ethical Framework.

There is no fixed length to the work. Some people come for a few months with something specific in mind; others find longer-term therapy more useful. We review together as we go, and endings are always led by you.

My first session

Our first session is a full 50-minute appointment. It's a chance for you to tell me what's bringing you to therapy and what you're hoping for, and for both of us to get a sense of whether working together feels right.

It also serves as an initial clinical assessment. There's no need to prepare anything, and no pressure to say everything at once.

If we both agree to continue, we begin with a block of four sessions and review together at the end. Before regular sessions start, I'll send you a short practice agreement and intake form to complete online.
