About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor, working with adults in both the NHS and private practice.

If you are feeling lost, struggling to cope, or want change but have no idea where to start, you do not have to do it alone. Whether you are navigating a change in circumstances, feel trapped in patterns that keep repeating themselves, or simply wish to understand yourself better, therapy can support you through these challenges.

In my practice, I work with you to understand what may be happening internally, what might be keeping you stuck, and how we can move towards the changes that matter most to you.

Practice description

Each client is unique, and I believe therapy should reflect this. I have therefore trained in multiple evidence-based modalities, including psychodynamic, person-centred and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and draw from each to adapt my work to the individual. Different approaches may also better address different challenges, and we can adapt our work as your needs evolve.

Experience

• Psychotherapist within the NHS Primary Care Mental Health Service (ongoing)

• Counsellor within a Specialist Local Authority Social Service

• Professional Sessional Psychotherapist within the private sector

• Over three years' experience working with neurodiversity in a care setting

• Over ten years' experience as a professional creative (ongoing)

My first session

Finding the right therapist is an important decision, and I aim to make that as comfortable and accessible as possible. I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation before your first session, so that you can ask any questions you might have and get a sense of whether I might be the right therapist for you, without pressure.

Our first full session allows us to explore more deeply what has brought you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from our time together. It provides an opportunity for me to get to know you better, and gain a greater sense of what you would like to work on and how I can best support you during our work together.
