About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and safe to explore what is troubling you.
I work integratively, drawing on different therapeutic approaches and adapting our work to your individual needs. I believe counselling is a collaborative process, and we will work together at a pace that feels right for you.
You may be experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, bereavement, low self-esteem, life changes or feeling overwhelmed or stuck. Whatever brings you to counselling, I will offer you a confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences without judgement.
Rather than telling you what to do, I will support you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, identify patterns, gain clarity and consider ways forward that feel meaningful to you.
I work with adults and young people aged 16+, both in person in Long Melford, near Sudbury, Suffolk, and online across the UK. Where appropriate, I may also use creative approaches to support exploration beyond words.
My aim is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel respected, accepted and supported to make positive changes at your own pace.
Practice description
I offer both short-term and longer-term counselling, depending on what feels right for you and what you would like to get from counselling. There is no set timeframe, and we can review this together as our work progresses.
Sessions are 50 minutes and are usually weekly, giving you regular time and space to focus on yourself. The frequency can be adjusted if your circumstances or needs change.
If you are thinking about counselling but are not sure where to start, you are very welcome to book a free 15-minute online or telephone consultation with me. This is a relaxed opportunity to talk about what is bringing you to counselling, ask any questions and get a feel for whether working together feels right for you. There is no obligation to book further sessions.
I offer face-to-face sessions from my practice in Long Melford, Suffolk, as well as online sessions across the UK. You can choose the option that feels most comfortable and accessible for you.
I work with adults and young people aged 16+. Whatever your circumstances, you will be met with warmth, respect and without judgement.
My practice is guided by the BACP Ethical Framework, with regular clinical supervision supporting my work and helping me maintain a high standard of care.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know each other and explore what has brought you to counselling.
I will complete a detailed, holistic assessment to understand your current circumstances, needs and goals, as well as relevant history, relationships and other factors that may be affecting your wellbeing.
This helps us develop a shared understanding of what you would like support with and identify how we can work together. We will also discuss what you hope to gain from counselling and agree a way of working that feels appropriate for you.
You are welcome to share at your own pace. There is no expectation to discuss anything you are not ready to explore.
There will also be time for you to ask questions and consider whether counselling feels right for you.
