Availability

I currently have availability for new clients in my private practice, offering 50-minute sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays, with some evening appointments also available. Sessions are offered in person in Ramsgate and online across the UK.

I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation before beginning therapy. This is a relaxed opportunity to talk about what has brought you to counselling, ask any questions and get a sense of whether we might be a good fit, with no pressure or commitment.

Sessions are usually weekly, providing a regular and consistent space to explore what is happening for you. We can discuss frequency and available appointment times during your initial consultation.

If you would like to enquire, please contact me through my website or by email. I aim to respond within 48 hours.

About me and my therapy practice

Sometimes life can feel like too much. You may be exhausted from trying to keep everything together, overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling with your self-esteem, or finding that past experiences are still affecting you. You may also have spent years masking parts of yourself just to fit in.

I work with adults and young people experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, low self-esteem, trauma and difficult life experiences. As an NCPS Accredited Integrative Counsellor, I offer a warm, neurodivergent-affirming and trauma-informed space where you do not have to perform, explain everything perfectly or have all the answers.

My approach is person-centred at its heart, meaning I will not tell you what you should do or try to fit you into a particular model. Instead, I work alongside you and draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on what feels helpful and appropriate. Together, we can explore your experiences, understand patterns, make sense of difficult emotions and consider practical ways forward.

I believe therapy should adapt to the person, not the other way around. That might mean talking things through, gently exploring what sits underneath, using creative approaches, or simply having space to pause and breathe.

You do not need to have a “perfect” reason to reach out. We can start exactly where you are, at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

Practice description

Clear Current Counselling is a private counselling practice based in Ramsgate, offering in-person sessions locally and online counselling across the UK.

I work with adults and young people who may be experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, low self-esteem, trauma, difficult life experiences, identity concerns or simply a sense of feeling stuck. My aim is to offer a calm, accepting space where you can be yourself without judgement.

I am an NCPS Accredited Integrative Counsellor and work in a person-centred, trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming way. Although person-centred therapy is at the heart of my practice, I draw on a range of therapeutic perspectives to respond to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

Our work may involve making sense of emotions, exploring relationships and patterns, understanding the impact of past experiences, building self-trust and confidence, or finding practical ways to navigate what is happening in your life now.

I believe the therapeutic relationship matters. You are the expert on your own experience, and my role is to listen carefully, offer thoughtful challenge when appropriate, and work collaboratively with you.

Sessions are 50 minutes and are usually weekly. I also offer a free 20-minute initial consultation so we can talk about what you are looking for and decide whether working together feels right for you.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation before beginning regular therapy. There is no pressure or commitment. It is simply a chance for us to have a brief conversation, for you to tell me what has brought you to counselling, ask any questions and get a sense of what it might be like to work together.

If you decide to begin therapy, our first 50-minute session is an opportunity to slow things down and start getting to know one another. We can talk about what is happening for you, what you would like support with and what you hope might be different through counselling.

I may ask some questions to help me understand your circumstances and any relevant history, but you do not need to arrive with everything worked out or be ready to talk about things you are not comfortable sharing. We can take things at a pace that feels manageable.

We will also discuss practicalities such as confidentiality, boundaries, session arrangements and what you can expect from our work together. Most importantly, the first session is also an opportunity for you to decide whether I feel like the right person to support you.

If therapy feels like a good fit, we can agree together on how we would like to work going forward.
