About me and my therapy practice
My name is Fiona Williamson and I work in private practice at Raem Caum Counselling. Raem Caum (my practice) is an old norse word meaning calm, like still water after the storm. I offer a safe space designed to help you feel centered, calm, and connected. I bring over 8 years of experience delivering psychodynamic psychotherapy and over twenty years offering person-centered care. My specialty lies in getting to the root of the problem and helping you find inner strength. We all feel lost at sea at times and it helps us to have someone that can help you find where you want to get to. Therapy can't stop what has happened but it can ensure you don't face your problems alone - on your terms, at your pace.
I don’t just look at the map of your life; I walk the path with you. Using a deeply empathetic, therapeutic approach, we will work side-by-side to get you to the place you want to be. Healing requires a solid foundation, which is why I am dedicated to providing a space that is entirely safe, reliable, and consistent.
Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and its normal to feel overwhelmed. You are in control of your journey. If you feel ready to talk about the issue you face, or simply want to see if my approach feels like the right fit for you, I invite you to get in touch.. The free consultation is an opportunity to explore and ask any questions you have.
Practice description
In our first session we will explore what you hope to work through in your therapy and create that map together.
I have extensive experience in working with people with ADHD, Autism, neurodivergence and complex trauma.
There is no issue to small or too large to come and speak to someone about. It would be great if we could normalise support for our emotional and mental health as prominently as our physical health.
Relationships and the world can feel overwhelming and difficult. During our sessions we will explore the issues you bring in a way that helps you feel in control.
Most clients feel changes within a few weeks and gain long term improved health and wellbeing. If my approach feels right then I urge you to get in touch.
My first session
To begin our journey together, we would have a complimentary session for 30 minutes exploring if the approach is right for you. There is no obligation and you are in control of what happens from that point.
I operate a sliding scale of payments based on you circumstances and have a contract that we will discuss together. This is to ensure we have open, honest and direct communication that feels safe and collaborative from the offset.
I look forward to hearing from you.
