About me and my therapy practice

You might look like you're coping on the outside, while inside you’re anxious, overwhelmed or questioning many things in life or about yourself. Perhaps you’ve become used to putting other people first, overthinking things, or trying to meet others’ expectations, and you’re wondering why things still don’t feel right.

Therapy is a process allowing a person to become grounded in their experiences while gaining a deeper understanding of themselves. Greater clarity helps you recognise unhelpful patterns in your life, make space for change, and improve relationships with others and yourself. Importantly, therapy can develop your ability to make choices aligning with your personal values, address the impact of past experiences, and minimise the influence of external factors.

Being born and raised in Poland, whilst spending most of my adult life in the UK, allows me to bring a perspective shaped by both professional training and my own background. Such an experience made me sensitive to subtle cultural moulds, paying attention to conditions imposed on us by people in our lives and society.

Practice description

As an integrative psychotherapist, I am motivated to understand your unique experiences, utilising tools across three modalities which facilitate an individualised approach towards the issues you choose to share.

- Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy: When it feels helpful, we’ll look at a connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, developing practical ways of managing what you’re experiencing.

- Person-Centred Approach: Allows you to feel that you can be yourself in therapy without having to perform or get things ‘right’, with a strong focus on your needs and connection with the true self.

- Attachment Style Theory: We can explore how earlier relationships and experiences may have shaped the way you relate to yourself and others today.

My first session

The process starts with arranging an initial assessment (phone/videocall, free of charge). This is an opportunity for me to understand a little more about what has brought you to therapy, what you are currently experiencing, and what you would like support with. It also helps me consider whether I am the right person to work with you and whether the way I work is likely to be helpful for your needs. Just as importantly, the assessment is for you to get a sense of what it is like to work with me. Finding the right therapist is not only about qualifications or a particular approach — feeling comfortable enough to be open and honest is an important part of the process.
