About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative therapist, drawing primarily on psychodynamic and humanistic approaches to explore how our past experiences and relationships shape the way we understand ourselves and navigate the present.

My approach is also informed by an appreciation of the interconnected nature of emotional, psychological and physical experiences and the wider contexts in which we live.

I provide a compassionate, collaborative and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly, develop greater self-awareness and gain a deeper understanding of yourself.

I recognise that everyone's experiences are unique and I work at a pace that supports you, allowing space for reflection, curiosity and meaningful personal exploration.

Practice description

Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, whether you are facing a particular difficulty or simply feel that something in your life isn't quite right, or you want to gain further self-awareness.

I offer a confidential and supportive space to explore issues such as anxiety, relationship difficulties, fertility, chronic health conditions, life transitions or recurring patterns of thinking and behaviour.

Our work together is collaborative, allowing us to explore your experiences and develop greater understanding and insight.

I offer both short-term therapy, focusing on specific concerns, and open-ended therapy for those wishing to explore deeper rooted experiences and patterns.

My first session

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore what has brought you to therapy. We can discuss what you hope to gain from our work together, and any relevant background information.

I'll also explain how I work and cover practical considerations such as confidentiality, session arrangements and our therapeutic agreement.

There is no expectation to share everything in this first meeting. It's equally an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
