About me and my therapy practice
Welcome! I'm Aimee from The Orangery.
I have a special interest in those with long term health conditions, persistent pain and women's health. I understand the impact they may have on your day to day and understand where being out of control with your symptoms, may impact your wellbeing. However, I am able to work with a variety of issues including anxiety, stress, pain, depression, grief, change and trauma. Please get in touch to discuss your needs, everyone is welcome here!
Change can have a profound impact on our wellbeing, whether that be change in our life chapters, or change that makes us feel out of control. Integrative Counselling can help providing a confidential, secure space to work with these feelings. Reaching out to a therapist can be a scary moment, but rest assured the work we do together will be without judgement.
With nearly a decade of experience within NHS services, I have worked with a variety of individuals and believe therapy is a powerful process, whether you just need a chat, or have a clear goal in mind.
Life can be tough, and reflecting with another person can relieve the weight you may be carrying alone. As an integrative therapist, I adapt my approach to fit your unique story, using natural humour and personality to keep our sessions comfortable and collaborative. I believe our past shapes how we think, feel, and act today. My work is rooted in person-centred therapy, meaning I recognise that you are the true expert on yourself. By blending a psychodynamic perspective, we can bring unconscious thoughts and difficult memories to light, while also focusing on your current physical sensations to keep you grounded in the present. Ultimately, my goal is to help you feel empowered, understand yourself better, and leave each session with practical strategies and a lighter burden.
