About me and my therapy practice
I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for adults to talk about what's going on in their lives. You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck, facing a difficult change, struggling in your relationships or trying to make sense of thoughts and feelings that feel hard to manage alone. Whatever brings you to therapy having a space where you feel heard and understood can make a real difference.
I work in an integrative way drawing on a range of approaches to suit you and what you would like to explore. Rather than following one fixed model I believe therapy should adapt to the individual. Together, we can find an approach that feels comfortable, helpful and right for your circumstances.
At the heart of my work is the relationship we build together. Feeling heard, accepted and able to speak openly creates the foundation for meaningful change. My role isn't to tell you what to do, but to listen, support and walk alongside you while you make sense of what's happening and decide what feels right for you.
With over 24 years' experience across Children's Services and the NHS, I've had the privilege of supporting people through many of life's challenges. What has always mattered most to me is being alongside people as they navigate change, better understand themselves and move towards the future they want for themselves.
Practice description
I understand that taking the first step can feel uncertain or daunting, which is where the name First Step came from, to recognise this first step can be the hardest part.
I offer a relationship rooted in empathy, built on trust and guided by the belief that real change is possible when you are truly met as a whole person.
