About me and my therapy practice

I'm a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, with a Clinical Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counselling.

People come to me experiencing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief and chronic illness, as well as relationship, family and work issues. Some feel stuck or are struggling with something specific and seeking support in figuring out next steps.

I am experienced in working with survivors of trauma, including childhood sexual abuse, as well as people with disabilities and their carers.

I am also trained in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET). There’s a strong body of evidence that these approaches, which include somatic tracking, can be effective for those - who have ruled out underlying medical causes - who are living with chronic conditions, including migraine, back pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, repetitive strain injury, pelvic pain and other medically unexplained symptoms.

My practice is culturally inclusive and neurodiversity-affirming.

Practice description

I see clients for weekly 50-minute sessions at Piccadilly Psychotherapy Practice, Linen Hall, 162–168 Regent Street, W1B 5TE, which is a few minutes' walk from Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus. The building has a staffed reception, step-free access, a lift and a waiting area and the room is on the third floor, away from the street.

I also see clients, anywhere in the UK, for 50-minute sessions, online.

Sessions are £80 and payment is made by bank transfer, before each session. I ask for at least 7 days' notice to cancel or rearrange.

Sessions are confidential, in line with the BACP Ethical Framework.

There will be no fixed length to our work. Some people come for a few months with something specific in mind; others find longer-term therapy more useful. We review together as we go, and endings are always led by you.

My first session

I offer a 15 minute introductory call, for potential clients, and our first session will be a full 50-minute appointment. I know that a first session can feel daunting and there is no need to prepare anything in advance. It is a chance for you to tell me what's bringing you to therapy and what you're hoping for, and for both of us to get a sense of whether working together feels right.

It also serves as an initial clinical assessment.

If we both agree to continue, we begin with a block of four sessions and review together at the end. Before regular sessions start, I'll send you a short practice agreement and intake form to complete online.
