About me and my therapy practice
I am a graduate Counsellor and Psychotherapist with First-Class Honours in Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy. I offer online counselling to adults, drawing on a person-centred approach grounded in empathy, authenticity and the belief that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood and accepted without judgement.
Before pursuing counselling and psychotherapy, I spent over a decade working within health and social care, supporting people with a range of needs and life experiences. This background has shaped my understanding of the importance of compassion, respect and creating a safe, supportive environment. I also have experience working therapeutically with both adults and young people.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. You may be struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, relationship difficulties or experiences that are difficult to make sense of. Perhaps you feel stuck, disconnected from yourself or unsure of how to move forward. Whatever brings you to counselling, you do not need to have all the answers before we begin.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful counselling. I aim to offer a warm, genuine and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, without pressure or expectations. I will listen with empathy, openness and respect, working alongside you rather than telling you what you should do.
Together, we can explore your experiences, recognise patterns and develop greater self-awareness, helping you reconnect with your own strengths and find a way forward that feels right for you.
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, but you do not have to figure everything out alone. If you feel I may be the right counsellor for you, please get in touch to arrange a free 15-minute introductory call by phone or online video. It is an opportunity to meet, ask questions and explore whether we might work well together, with no pressure or obligation to continue.
Practice description
I offer online counselling for adults in a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, valued and accepted.
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting. You may be experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, relationship difficulties or challenges that feel difficult to navigate alone. Perhaps you feel overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or unsure how to move forward. Whatever you are experiencing, you are welcome to bring your thoughts and feelings to our sessions.
My approach is person-centred and humanistic, placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and I will work alongside you with empathy, openness and respect. There is no pressure to have everything figured out, and we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Counselling offers an opportunity to pause, reflect and explore your experiences in a space dedicated to you. Together, we can work towards a deeper understanding of yourself, your emotions and your relationships, helping you recognise your strengths and consider what changes, if any, feel right for you.
Sessions take place online, allowing you to access counselling from a space where you feel comfortable and private. I aim to make the process as approachable as possible, whether this is your first experience of counselling or you have accessed support before.
You do not have to face everything alone. If you feel we may be a good fit, I welcome you to get in touch to discuss working together.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute introductory conversation by online video call or telephone, whichever feels most comfortable for you. This is an opportunity for us to meet, discuss what has brought you to counselling and for you to ask any questions you may have about working with me. There is no pressure or obligation to book a session afterwards.
If you decide you would like to continue, we can arrange your first counselling session at a mutually convenient time.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and explore what has brought you to counselling. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable, and there is no expectation to have everything figured out before we begin.
We will discuss what you hope to gain from counselling, how we might work together, and practical matters such as confidentiality and its limits. This also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and consider whether my approach feels right for you.
I understand that taking the first step can feel daunting, so my aim is to create a warm, welcoming and non-judgemental experience from the outset. We will work at a pace that feels right for you, building a therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect and understanding.
