I am a London-based therapist and I offer Online Individual Psychotherapy or Walk & Talk Psychotherapy, and online Couples Psychotherapy.

If you would like to work with me, you are welcome to get in touch directly to ask any questions or arrange an initial conversation. Alternatively, you can book a session directly through my website.

If you are unsure whether therapy is right for you, or would simply like to find out a little more about working together, I also offer a free, 15-minute introductory call with no obligation.

About me and my therapy practice

I'm Sharareh Avazzadeh, though most people know me as Shaz. I am a qualified psychotherapist with an MA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology.

I am a London-based psychotherapist and I offer Online Individual Psychotherapy or Walk & Talk Psychotherapy, and online Couples Psychotherapy.

I provide a clear, supportive, and confidential space to help you understand where you are, and safely guide you to where you want to be. Because no two people are the same, I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.

As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I weave together different psychological theories to match your specific needs, combining a deep understanding of your past experiences with practical, present-focused insights.

Together, we will explore the root causes of your distress, such as anxiety, relational patterns, or identity shifts, while honouring your unique story and pace in a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment.

Individual Psychotherapy: I work with individuals aged 16 and over supporting adults and young people as they navigate life's challenges, and complex transitions.

Couples Psychotherapy: Every relationship goes through seasons of distance, miscommunication, or repetitive conflict. In my couples practice, I provide a calm, objective, and supportive online space designed to help you and your partner navigate these challenging transitions and find your way back to each other.

I draw on relational and communication-focused frameworks to help you both look beneath the surface of daily arguments. Together, we will work to identify negative cycles, heal past hurts, and build practical communication tools to restore the mutual understanding and deep connection that brought you together in the first place.

Practice description

In our sessions, you can expect a warm, non-judgmental, and confidential space to explore what is going on for you. I work with the ethos of putting the client-first, meaning your needs and experiences are at the forefront of our work together. We will explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours and work collaboratively towards your goals and navigating the changes you want to make.

To fit your lifestyle and preferences, I deliver my practice through tailored formats designed for your specific needs:

Online Psychotherapy: Offers deep therapeutic support delivered via secure, confidential video conferencing, providing the ultimate convenience of remote access from your own space.

Walk & Talk Psychotherapy: Sessions combine clinical psychological insights with the natural, stress-reducing power of side-by-side outdoor movement. I have a deep, practical understanding of how moving the body actively unlocks mental clarity, releases physical stress, and helps drive positive emotional change. This format is ideal if you are managing anxiety, processing complex emotions, or looking for a more dynamic, grounded way to connect. The London Based Walk and Talk Therapy will resume in Spring 2027. They take place in NW3 or W5. Please get in touch to find out more.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and to explore what has brought you to therapy at this point in your life. It is a space for you to share as much or as little as feels comfortable about what has been going on for you, what you might be finding difficult, and what you hope could be different.

There is no formal structure or assessment, and no expectation that you arrive with everything worked out or even knowing exactly what you want from therapy. We can take our time to explore this together, following what feels important to you and allowing space for things to unfold naturally.

I see therapy as a collaborative process, and our first session is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of whether I feel like the right therapist for you. Finding someone you feel comfortable with and able to build a trusting relationship with is important. You might have a sense of this straight away, or it may take a little time to discover. We can explore this together, making space for any thoughts or feelings that come up along the way, without any pressure.

I also offer a free, 15-minute introductory call, with no obligation, if you would like to have an initial conversation before deciding whether to take things further.
