Online EMDR therapist helping adults heal from trauma and feel safe in their lives again. sessions Worldwide. I offer a £30 discount when you pre-pay a block of six.

About me and my therapy practice

You may be exhausted from carrying painful experiences on your own, stuck in anxiety, nightmares, or feeling “on edge” even when life looks fine from the outside. Perhaps talking therapies have helped a bit, but have not shifted the trauma in your body. With over 30 years’ experience and EMDR as my main approach, I offer a calm, structured space to process what has happened so you can feel safer, more present and more in control of your life.

Who I help

• Adults who have been through difficult or traumatic experiences (for example, childhood abuse or neglect, bullying, accidents, medical trauma, or relationship trauma).

• People living with symptoms such as flashbacks, intrusive memories, shame, self‑blame, hyper‑vigilance, emotional numbness, or “people‑pleasing” that is hard to switch off.

• Clients who prefer online therapy and value a gentle, steady pace with clear explanations and collaboration.

Practice description

How EMDR and sessions work (brief, client‑friendly)

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a structured therapy that helps your brain re‑process disturbing memories so they feel more distant and less triggering in everyday life. You do not have to describe every detail of what happened. We work together to build enough safety and stability, then use bilateral stimulation (such as guided eye movements) to help the nervous system “digest” stuck experiences and make new, more helpful connections.

In our sessions, we will:

• Map how trauma is affecting you now – in your body, emotions, thoughts and relationships.

• Strengthen inner resources and safety before we go near the most painful material.

• Process past memories at your pace, always with your consent and choice.

• Help you integrate changes so that daily life gradually feels calmer and more open.

What you can expect / outcomes (realistic, not guaranteed)

Clients often report feeling less hijacked by flashbacks, fewer physical stress symptoms, a kinder inner voice, and more freedom to make choices that fit who they are now rather than who they had to be to survive. While no therapist can promise specific results, EMDR is recommended in several clinical guidelines for PTSD and trauma‑related difficulties, and many people find it brings a different, deeper level of change than talking alone.

Practical details

• Online only (video sessions).

• Fee: £your new fee per 50‑minute session, payable before or on the day.

Practice description

Welcome to my practice, a dedicated online space where healing begins and personal growth flourishes. With 30 years of experience as a psychotherapist specialising in trauma recovery through EMDR and CBT, I am committed to helping clients navigate their unique therapeutic journeys.

I foster a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment in my practice. Therapy sessions are conducted online, allowing you to engage in meaningful therapeutic work from the comfort and security of your home, anywhere in the UK. This online setting not only ensures convenience but also maintains continuity and consistency in your therapy process, critical components in effective treatment, especially when addressing trauma and its many complexities.

My approach is integrative and client-centred, emphasising the importance of tailoring therapy to each client's needs. Whether you are dealing with the effects of past trauma, experiencing anxiety or depression, or seeking personal development and greater self-awareness, I am here to guide and support you. Our work together will involve:

Understanding the underlying causes of your struggles.

Employing techniques to manage and alleviate symptoms.

Strategies for fostering resilience and personal growth.

I believe in a collaborative therapeutic relationship where your voice is heard and valued. Together, we will explore your goals, tackle challenges, and celebrate your progress. Therapy is a journey of self-discovery and healing, and I am dedicated to being a supportive and empowering partner throughout this process.

Clients can expect professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to their well-being as foundational aspects of my practice. I also provide resources and tools that can be used outside of our sessions to support ongoing personal development and coping strategies.

For more information on how we can begin this journey together, please contact me directly through my website, where you can book a free 20-minute session.

My first session

The first session in my practice establishes a strong foundation for our therapeutic relationship and sets the stage for effective, personalised therapy. It lasts 50 minutes,

During our initial meeting, I conduct a comprehensive assessment to understand your needs and challenges better. This involves a structured interview where you can share your experiences, symptoms, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. This session is crucial for tailoring the therapy approach to suit your specific situation and setting realistic, achievable goals.

After our initial discussion, I will provide an overview of how we might proceed, including the frequency of sessions and the therapeutic techniques that could be most effective for you. I also introduce the tools and strategies we may use, such as EMDR and CBT exercises, and explain their relevance to your treatment.

I believe in transparency and collaboration from the very start. Therefore, you will receive all necessary information about the therapy process, including confidentiality agreements, to ensure you feel secure and informed.

If you decide to continue with therapy, we will set up a regular appointment schedule. I hope you leave this first session feeling heard, understood, and optimistic about the journey ahead.
