Based in Newbury on Tuesdays, Thursdays and FridaysAbout me and my therapy practice
Awarded Best Counselling Service, Newbury 2024 & 2025 by Quality Business Awards
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor with over 15 years' experience, offering relational counselling for adults and young people in Newbury and Hungerford.
People seek counselling for many different reasons. You may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties or loss. At other times there may not be a clear reason, only a sense that life feels overwhelming, stuck or difficult to manage.
My approach is Humanistic and relational. I aim to offer a calm and respectful space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly, without judgement or pressure. Together we can begin to understand patterns that may be affecting how you relate to yourself and others, helping you develop greater self-awareness and clarity.
Some of the issues I work with include anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, anger, bereavement and low self-esteem. I also work with people who find themselves consistently putting others first - avoiding conflict, managing others' feelings or struggling to express their own needs - and who feel exhausted or depleted as a result.
I pay attention not only to what you bring to sessions, but also to the experience of working together, as this can often offer valuable insight into patterns in relationships.
I offer both short-term counselling and longer-term therapy, depending on your needs.
Finding the right counsellor can feel daunting. If you would like to arrange an initial conversation to see whether working together feels comfortable, you are very welcome to get in touch.
